Subcontractors
Omni Construction, Inc. maintains a database of seasoned subcontractors that can mobilize and be on location at a moment's notice. During the offseason, potential subcontractors are interviewed to insure the minimum requirements are in place. Please accept the following minimum requirements for your company to be eligible to work for Omni Construction, Inc.:

A. Commercial General Liability including Premises and Operations, Completed operations (carried for a period of two years after the completion of the Project), Contractual Liability to cover subcontractor's obligation in the Indemnity Clause, XCU Coverage's, and Contractors Protective Liability Coverage: Bodily Injury & Property Damage: $1,000,000 per Occurrence $2,000,000 Aggregate.

B. Automobile Liability: $1,000,000 Combined Single Limit for Bodily Injury and Property Damage on all Owners, Non-Owned and Hired Vehicles

C. Workers Compensation: Statutory coverage in accordance with the laws of the State and/or states in which the Work is to be performed. Any applicable Federal or Maritime coverage (e.g. Longshoremen's and Jones Act) that may be required due to subcontractor's work shall be included in subcontractor's coverage.

Certificate must show waiver of subrogation in favor of contractor for all types of insurance required. Worker's Compensation coverage will apply to all employees, including executive officers.
  • Employers' Liability: $1,000,000.00 per Accident
  • $1,000,000.00 Disease Policy Limit
  • $1,000,000.00 Disease Each Employee
Subcontractor shall maintain in effect all insurance coverage required at subcontractor's sole expense and with insurance companies acceptable to contractor.

All insurance policies shall contain a provision that the coverage's afforded there under shall not be canceled or not renewed, nor restrictive modifications added, until at least thirty (30) days prior written notice has been given to contractor.

Certificates of insurance or certified copies of policies acceptable to contractor shall be filed with contractor prior to start of the subcontractor's work.

Subcontractor's insurance certificate shall be in the form prescribed by contractor, a copy of which is available to subcontractor upon request. Contractor's receipt of any insurance certificate that fails to comply with any terms herein shall not constitute a waiver of any of subcontractor's obligations or of any of contractor's rights hereunder.

Subcontractor shall require the same coverage's described herein from any sub-subcontractors. Subcontractor shall be liable to, and shall defend, and hold harmless, contractor for any loss or expense, including reasonable attorney's fees, resulting from subcontractor's failure to provide or require any insurance coverage described herein.

Omni Construction, Inc. (prior to any work being performed on any job) must receive a certificate from the subcontractor carrier agreeing to subordinate any claims regardless of the nature filed against Omni Construction, Inc.

Omni Construction, Inc. must be named as PRIMARY ADDITIONAL INSURED. The coverage is to be Primary and non-contributory to any other insurance carried by contractor, his officers, directors, and employees or the Owner. The Additional Insured Endorsement for evidencing such coverage must be provided to contractor along with the certificate of insurance.
